How to Submit a DMCA Notice
Send a written notice to [email protected] containing all of the following:
- Identification of the copyrighted work — title, author, registration number, URL
- Identification of the infringing material — specific URL on storywarm.com, order/book ID, or screenshot
- Contact information — full name, mailing address, phone, email
- Statement of good faith belief — "I have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized"
- Statement of accuracy under penalty of perjury
- Physical or electronic signature
Our Response Process
- Receipt acknowledgment: Within 24 hours
- Initial review: Within 48 hours
- Takedown (if valid): Within 72 hours
- User notification: Within 72 hours
- Counter-notice window: 10-14 days
False claims may result in liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
Counter-Notice Procedure
If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake, you may submit a counter-notice with:
- Identification of the removed material
- Statement under penalty of perjury that removal was a mistake
- Your contact information
- Consent to jurisdiction

Repeat Infringer Policy
Per 17 U.S.C. § 512(i), accounts of repeat infringers are terminated. Threshold: 3 valid DMCA takedowns within 12 months → permanent account termination + IP ban.
What StoryWarm Does to Prevent Infringement
- Prompt-level blocklist: Disney, Pixar, Marvel, DC, Studio Ghibli, Nintendo, and other major studio/character names blocked at input.
- CLIP similarity detection (V1+): Generated illustrations compared against a reference embedding set; cosine similarity > 0.82 triggers automatic block.
- C2PA Content Credentials: Every AI-generated illustration carries a machine-readable provenance signature per EU AI Act Article 50.
- Manual review queue: Borderline outputs routed to human review.
- User Terms: Explicitly prohibit copyrighted character requests.
